Alexa Play....

Alexa Play....

Alexa will play your Background Music in the home of a Halloween Haunter.  Here is my listing of songs that I like to listen to at Haunt Headquarters.  If someone is sleeping where Alexa is, I cannot ask her to play music until the company wakes up.

What should I ask Alexa to play when I visit friend's houses if Alexa lives there?

Alexa Play
Alexa Playing at Haunt Headquarters

Here is a listing of songs that I would ask Alexa to play

Alexa Play, Tokyo Daylight by Lo FI Lia

If you ask Alexa to play "Tokyo Daylight", she will default to play Tokyo Daylight from Persona 5 by Lo Fi Lia

Alexa Play, Tokyo Daylight (Live Ver.) by Lyn Inaizumi

Tokyo Daylight is the theme of going around town, dong errands on a nice sunny and clear day.  Recommended song for shopping days.  My home haunt is located in Newmarket / East Gwillimbury

Alexa Play, Daredevil by Lyn Inaizumi

This song is from Persona 5 Strikers.  I will ask Alexa to play it for exciting events including haunt openings, SOLD OUT nights at the haunt, haunt trade shows and conferences, and haunt tours

Alexa Play, Life Will Change by Lyn Inaizumi

This song is from Persona 5 and Persona 5 Strikers.  I will ask Alexa to play this song for events including haunt closings, haunt trade show closing events, final haunt of on haunt tours.

Alexa Play, Send Me an Angel by Real Life

I will ask Alexa to play this song as we get ready for a Haunt work day.  Building Halloween Haunts takes lots of time and energy.  I heard this song in a dream over the winter 2021 - 22.

Alexa Play, Granite by Pendulum

This song's opening sounds similar to the castle theme of Super Mario World for the SNES.  I discovered in 2016.

Alexa Play, All my People by Sasha Lopez

I discovered this song on railway crossing compilation video on Youtube

Alexa Play, After 5 Clash by Toshiki Kadomatsu

I wish Alexa knows other Toshiki Kadmatsu songs.  If we are at a haunt convention including Transworld Halloween Attractions Show, we will need a new soundtrack including daylight, events, haunt tours, etc.  Tokyo Daylight is for daytime actives around Newmarket.

Alexa Play Fast Car by Mokka Music.

This song has a similar feel to Life Will Change by Lyn Inaizumi from Persona 5.  I will ask Alexa to play this song when we are getting ready to go to the haunt if the haunt is sold out.

Unfortunately Fast Car is not on Amazon Music. We will download it to our music phones.

Alexa Play, Red Dragon by Swollen Members. (Hip Hop)

I discovered this song when I asked Alexa to play Fast Car Mokka Music and she put this song on since she cannot locate Fast Car.  Haunters approve the song.

Alexa Play Star Fire by Corey Wong

Alexa Play Follow the Light by Cory Wong and Dirty Loops

Alexa play Ring of Saturn by Cory Wong and Dirty Loops

This is an action song.  I will ask Alexa to play this song for action events at the haunt including battles, axe throwing, etc.  Haunters say this song sounds like Soul Finger by the Bar-Kays.

Alexa Play Soul Fingers by the Bar-Kays

Alexa Play, Muladhara by Gill Studio

Alexa Play, There For Me by Marsh.  I discovered this song in a car ride in Toronto.  This song is a theme for doing errands in a large city.

Alexa Play Orisha Original Mix by Mode Apart

Alexa Play, Old School Hip Hop,

I may ask Alexa to play Old School Hip Hop since Ontario Haunters enjoy Old School Hip Hop.  Hip Hop is popular music for a social setting for all occasions including Taco Tuesday, Birthday Parties, etc.

Haunted House Songs on Alexa

Alexa Play, Under the Big Top By Midnight Syndicate.  Murdermore the Clown's Theme.  If you are VFX fans, VFX makes The Famous Puppets from Hauntland

Alexa Play, Fallen Grandeur by Midnight Syndicate.  This track is Mortimer Ghost's theme.

Alexa Play, Dr. Atmore's Elixirs of Good Humour and Fortification by Midnight Syndicate.  This is Psycho The Clown's theme.  Get your Psycho The Clown Puppet at VFX Creates

Alexa Play, The Host of Seraphim by The Dead Can Dance.  This is the theme music for the haunt, Dominion of the Dead at Knotts Scary Farm.

Alexa play, They're Here by Danny Elfman, (Goosebumps Soundtrack)  This song is the theme to the Dark Ride Haunt at Knots Scary Farm.  This haunt has moved to Canada's Wonderland for the 2023 Haunt Season

Alexa Play, Time Feel so Sleep. A Halloween Recordian song I discovered on a Youtube Video.

Alexa Play, Tomb Stone Circus by Brandon Fiechter

Annoying songs on Alexa

Alexa Play, Wash Your Face In Your Sink by Dream Warriors

This is one of the most overplayed songs on Alexa in 2021 - 2022 by one of our friends of the haunt.

Alexa Play, Skylab by The Monks

This song's only word is Skylab.  When my haunt friend asked Alexa to play this song, I asked Alexa to define Skylab.  I associated this song with the USA's first Space Station.

Electronic Music Memories from the Late 1990's

In the mid 1990's I fell in love with electronic music like trance, speed garage, and other music that has a good beat.

Rare Dance Music Tracks I only heard on the radio only once or twice.  I had these tracks on tape.  Some of the tapes have been eaten up by the cassette player.  This is a listing of my favorite tracks with a vocal Time Stretch effect.

Here are some tracks you may recognize or not

1994

The Way, Shadow VIP Mix, DJ Tatix, 1994

In December 1994 I was exposed to my first jungle / DNB track on Energy 108.  This track featured the scary vocal time stretch. When I heard the first time stretch, my stomach will cringe when I am not ready for it, especially while laying in bed.

1995

Higher State of Consciousness, Josh Wink, 1995.  This is the second track I heard that featured a deep male vocal time stretch.  I heard an acapella time stretch while I was in a dream state one night, it was very scary.  I did not know what it was.  A few weeks later, I was laying in bed, listening to the live to air from Amnesia Night Club on Hot 103.5 and heard that same time stretch and I had the unsettling feeling in my stomach.  I quickly shut the radio off and started sleeping without the radio in case I hear another scary time stretch.

1997/98

Rip Groove -- Double 99, 1997.  I taped this track from Hits 103.5 during a Live to Air broadcast in December 1997.

My Name is Barbarella-Caspar Pound & Peter Smith Remix, Barbarella, 1993.  I was very lucky to have the tape rolling on April 3, 1998 and catch this rare track.

Beautiful Day-Juniorverse Mix,  Hypertrophy 1998.  This track features a long time stretch at the top of the track.  This track only aired three times on Chris Sheppard's Pirate Radio on July 17th,  24, and 31, 1998.  I heard this track at cadet camp and I wanted to tape it.  When I got home from camp, The track was removed from the rotation

The Chant W E R -- R.I.P. Productions (1998) I taped this track off the Chris Sheppard Radio show in the spring of 1998.  This track sounds similar to Rip Groove.

I Can't Help Myself -- Lucid, 1997.  I taped this track off the Chris Sheppard Radio Show in the spring of 1998.  This is the only trance track I heard with a freaky vocal time stretch effect

Insomnia (Armand Van Helden's Mission To Mars Mix), 1997. I heard this version of Insomnia on the radio during the 9 o Clock Hard Drive mix back in the spring of 1997.

Choose Life (JDS Vocal Remix), 1997 -- PF Project. I heard this song in December 1997 on hits 103.5 during a live to air at Paparazzi Nightclub.  The tape that had this song on it was eaten up by the tape player.

The Horns of Jericho (Porn Kings Full On Remix) - DJ Supreme, I taped this track off the Chris Sheppard Radio Show in the spring of 1998.

Inferno, Souvlaki-Xtra Large Remix, 1997 I was very lucky to record this track on April 3, 1998.

Kickin Hard -- Klubheads, 1998. I recorded this song on multiple tapes from the Chris Sheppard Radio Show in the fall of 1998.  I heard this song for the first time at in the summer of 1998 at ACSTC Blackdown.

Meet Her At The Love Parade (Dextrous Mix) (1997) -- Da Hool. I have multiple copies of this track.  This track was taped from the Chris sheppard Pirate Radio Show in the spring of 1998.

Raise Your Hands Up in the Air (Klubheads Old School Remix) -- DJ Mark Van Dale Vs Klubheads, 1998. I recorded this song off the Chris Sheppard Radio Show in the fall of 1998.

Sugar Daddy-Secret Knowledge, 1993

Sugar is Sweeter (Armand's Drum and Bass Mix) -- CJ Bolland, 1996.  This track was recorded off the Chris Shepard Radio Show in 1998.

Something is Going On (Loop Da Loop Uptown Mix) -- Todd Terry, 1997.  I taped this track off the Live to Air on Hits 103.5 or the Chris Sheppard Radio Show in the winter or spring of 1998. Also listen to the Loop Da Loop Downtown Mix.

You're A Superstar - The Dogwhistle Soundsystem, remix, 1998 -- Love Inc.  This track was taped off the Chris Shepard Pirate Radio show on Hits 103.5 FM in the spring of 1998.

Do you listen to Z 103.5, Let's Play Name That Tune by

I have two songs I have recorded off Z 103.5 FM over 10 years ago.  If you know the lyrics, please type the name of the song in the Comments section.

The First song I have herd of is titled I want to Be the One.  I heard two freestyle remixes of this song on Z 103.5.  I do not know the artist that made the remix.

I want to Be the One, -- Steve B

Late at night when I'm all alone

I think of you and I'm feelin strong

Wishin you would look my way

Let me be the one

My heart is achin for that special girl

To come on in and to share my world

Someone to love and someone to hold

Let me be the one

I Love You

Chorus 1:

I need you girl and I need you now

I'll get you lookin at me somehow

The love I have is an open door girl

Come on in, lets begin, I love you

Chorus 2:

I wanna be the one you're givin your lovin

I wanna be the one you're kissin and huggin

I wanna be the one you dream of at night

Let me be the one

Repeat 2

I Love you, Baby

I don't believe it should take so long

To find someone I can call my own

Just come more close and you'll feel my love

It's a burning love, my baby

My heart is achin for that special girl

To come on in and to share my world

Some one to love and someone to hold

Let me be the one, my baby

Repeat Chorus 1

Repeat Chourus 2

A Promise to Share - Steve B

Listen to this song on Youtube

The Second song I have heard and taped off Z 103.5 has the following Lyrics. Aug 26, 2012, I stumbled across the title of this song and took a listen when I was looking at Steve B songs and found the title for this song is now known.  This song is on Stevie B Running Back Album (released 1993).

The Chorus goes like this.

You Touch Me, I touch you

This Love was out of control,

Music of my Elementry School Days

The music of my elementary school days was great because this music was so memorable to hear on the radio.  There were great songs like Jump Around, by The House of Pain, or Gonna Make you Sweat (Every Dance Now).  I will tell you the songs by Grade Number.

Grade II (1990 - 1991)

In Grade II, my brother moved in with my Grandfather in March 1991.  Every night, he will sleep with the radio on and I hear very intersting music.  I searched for the station until my brother put it on for me.  The station was AM 640 The Hog.  These are the songs of that year.

Everybody Dance Now, C + C Music Factory

Finally, CeCe Peniston

Unbelievable - EMF

Grade III (1991 - 1992)

In 1991 - 1992, There was great music on AM 640 and this was the year that the station's name changed to The New Beat of Toronto.

3 AM Eternal, KLF, 1991

James Brown is Dead, LA Style -- (1991, 1992)

In the Summer of 1992, AM 640 the New Beat of Toronto had a Live to Air every Tuesday night in the summertime.  I heard some interesting tracks during this live-to-air brodcast from some night club called The Factory.

Get Ready for this, 2 Unlimited (1991)

Twlight Zone, 2 Unlimited (1992)

Grade IV (1992 - 1993)

In the fall of 1992, AM 640 the New Beat of Toronto had a second Live to Air known as Mix Friday's at the Mix Nightclub.  This nightclub was located at 1325 Eglington Ave.  Some of the songs listed below were played at this club.

Take me in your Arms, Lil Suzy (1992)

Rhythem is  a Dancer, Snap (1992)

I will Always Love You, Whitney Houston (1992)

Sesame's Treat, Smart E 's (1992)

Mr Vain, Culture Beat (1993)

In the Spring of 1993, Jessie and Jean took the airwaves of AM 640 between 5:30 - 9:00 AM every Monday - Friday.  This was the first talk show that aired on AM 640. There was also a late-night talk show that took the airwaves too.

Grade V (1993 - 1994)

In the fall of 1993, another late-night talk show took the 11:00 - 1:00 AM time slot known as Telepersonal Radio.  In the winter of 1994, another talk show took the airwaves known as Toronto Talks took the 9:00 AM - 12:00 timeslot and Touch Tone took the 1:00 - 3:00 timeslot.  These talk shows took away the music during the day.  These talk shows played during the daytime while the young listeners are at school.

Grade VI (1994 - 1995)

In Grade VI, AM 640 the New Beat of Toronto decided to produce more boring talk show in the place of during the morning hours before school.  In December of 1994, I found a better radio station on the FM Dial known as Energy 108 FM.  At the same time there was another station that played the same music called Hot 103.5 FM

Fluxland, XL (1994), In 2000, KernKraft created Zombie Nation.  Sometimes the DJs may mix Fluxland XL and Zombie Nation back to back.

Happy People, Sotto Voice (1994),  I heard this song on Energy 108 FM during the Christmas Holidays.

Higher State Of Consciousness, Josh Wink, (1995)  This song featured a Time Stretch that freaked me out while I'm listening to this song in bed.

Tonight is the Night, Le Click (1993) I heard it for the first time in 1994 after getting Bram Stoker's Dracula as a Belated Christmas gift.

The Way (The VIP Mix), DJ Taktix, This jungle track has lots of vocal time stretching and contains the word Misplace. This was the first time I heard that freaky sound on the radio.

Think About the Way, Ice MC (1993)  When I heard this song for the first time, Energy 108 FM played the Noche de Luna Mix.  I thought this was the original version to my ears. I heard the Radio version of Think About the Way later on 103.5 in 1995.  I thought the radio verison was a remix.

Mystify - Raise your Hands, Positronic Brain (1994)

Close to You, Fun Factory (1994)

Memories, Netzwork (1995)

Love is Paradise, First Base

Reach Up (Papa's Got a New Pigbag) - Perfecto Alstarz.  I heard this song a handful of times on Energy 108 or Hot 103.5.
