Journey to the Merry Wives of Widsor, Day 5. Last day of skiing

On March, 2, 2012, It was the last day of skiing at Strathcona Wilderness Centre.  I was finished all my races and our skiing team got to go on a leisure ski on the Wagon Wheel Trail and do some uphill skiing on the Coyote Trail.

A photo op onboard Golden Arrow Airlines.

After our lesure ski on the Wagon Wheel Trail, the races were underway. The 7.5 Km race was the final race of the season.

After the races were over, it was time to relax and enjoy lunch under the big top.

After lunch, it was time for closing Podium.  The volunteers pose for a photo op in front of the podium.

The award presenters prepare to hand out the Just As Bold Medals to the athleates who did their best in their sport, Uphill Skiing.

Athleates pose for some photos before it was time to board the plane back the the hotel

The Golden Arrow flight taxies onto the runway at Strathcona Wilderness Centre for the last time.  It was time to fly back to Edomonton City Centre Airport and retire to the hotel for the night.

The oversized baggage is removed from the cargo van at the hotel and stored in the upper room until it's time to get on the plane home on March 4th, 2012.

Two large planes are parked on the tarmac at Edmonton City Centre Airport.

The afternoon was laidback.  It was spent relaxing in the hotel.  I got on the computer played my favorite clicking game, Donkey Mails.

Dinner in the Newman Newstone Dining Room was relaxing.  There was no rush to get on a bus to travel anywhere.

At 8:00 PM an advanced screening of The Muppets was held in the Wild Rose Cinema to wind down the evening.

Keep your Ears to the Tracks for Day 6 highlights of an Impulse Shopping Trip at the local mall.
