Reverend Robin's Rock n Roll Revival, The Musical

The Set

The set is a revival tent in the middle of the woods.  The set includes The old fashioned Hammond Organ, guitars, and drums.

The Props
The Program

Programs will have the lyrics for every musical number that may be performed during the show.  Audience and congregation members will receive one when the house is opened.

Crutches
Crutches are given out to a random audience or congregation member during the faith healing scene.

grape juice or red wine
Grape juice symbolizes the blood of Christ during the communion scene.  Most venues prefer grape juice over wine because of liquor laws.

The Characters

Rev. Robin
Reverend Robin is the host of the Rock n Roll Revival.  Loves to praise Rock n Roll and poke out the eyes of the Devil

Brother Marc

The Music and Praise leader for the Rock n Roll Revival meetings

Brother Paul

The assistant for Music and Rev. Robin at Rock and Roll Revival Meetings

Sister Hillery

The loyal organist at the Rock n Roll Revival.

The Congregation (Chorus)

The Congregation gathers every time when there is a revival meeting in the tent.  The Congregation also includes the audience.  Audience members should be encouraged to sing, clap, or dance.  The lyrics will be published in the program for all musical numbers.

Jesus

Our heavenly father who art from Heaven.  Jesus died to forgive our sins.  Jesus wants to praise Rock n Roll and poke out the eyes of the devil.

The Devil

The evil one,  that must be mocked until Hell Freezes over.

The Music

The Rock n Roll Revival love to sing classic Rock n Roll tunes as a part of their religion instead of those boring old church hymns.  Songs include Down Under, Spirit in the Sky, The End of the World as we Know It, Sympathy for the Devil, Hallelujah, and many more.

The lyrics for each musical number is printed in your program to encourage everyone to sing, clap, and dance along.  This is what makes this musical unique compared to watching Broadway.  At each performance, the ensemble can choose the musical numbers on the fly and the show will be fresh every time you go.  You will have the most fun in the theatre ever since Crazy for You.

The Comedy

This musical premiered at Moose Man 2011.  The actors were totally into the moment and it was 100% improvised.  You will love it and you want to see it again because this show will be fresh every time you see it.
